AUVA SW Isolators
built for subwoofers

Hybrid Isolation Technology
for Defined Subwoofer Bass
The AUVA SW is designed to absorb the powerful, high-amplitude vibration from subwoofers at the source, ensuring a composed and precise system.
Subwoofer integration provides depth and impact without overpowering the speakers, allowing them to deliver greater detail. By removing disruptive structural vibration, the AUVA SW ensures bass is tight and controlled. This blends the sub with the system to preserve clarity, realism, and spatial cues.
Energy-absorbing AUVA pods sit at the top of each isolator. Inside, a tuned particle mass absorbs and disperses vibration, converting it into heat.
The CSA-SW element is a custom silicone absorber that builds on the proven technology of the AUVA EQ, tuned for the vibration characteristics of subwoofers and available in six weight-matched versions for optimal performance.
Precision-machined aluminium housing is shaped to control the CSA-SW’s compliance, ensuring it moves exactly as intended. This precision allows us to push the boundaries of compliance, maximising bass isolation without compromising stability.
The AUVA SW was partly developed using Finite Element Analysis to model its behaviour under subwoofer-level energy. Twenty-nine design iterations were refined to optimise isolation and energy dissipation, ensuring the engineering delivers tighter low-frequency control.

Installation
AUVA SW isolators are available in the most common thread sizes used for subwoofers. Adapter plates come as standard for models that don’t use threads, allowing the isolators to sit directly beneath the subwoofer with proper support and stability. Both the adapter plates and the thread fixings allow for small height adjustments during setup.

FAQs
Speakers and subwoofers need different things. Speakers benefit from being held rigid while their cabinet vibration is absorbed, which preserves driver alignment and imaging. Subwoofers generate mostly omnidirectional, long-wavelength energy that travels easily through floors.
The AUVA SW uses tuned compliance, matched to your subwoofer’s weight, to decouple the sub and dissipate that structure-borne energy. That tightens the bass without needing rigid coupling.
REL tune the height of every subwoofer precisely, and their warning is against raising the cabinet on tall, soft platforms or untuned compliant feet. Those genuinely can thin out deep bass.
The AUVA SW is different. It’s tuned to your sub’s weight, and its height adjusts from 39.8mm to 52mm, covering REL’s stock feet: 44mm on the T/ Series and 50mm on the S/ Series and Carbon range. With the height matched, independent REW measurements show the dominant change is reduced structural decay between 40 and 80Hz, not reduced output.
Our full guide, Subwoofer Isolation & REL, covers this in detail.
The AUVA SW gives you plenty of clearance and flexible height options, so you can match, or slightly raise, the distance your driver or port currently sits from the floor:
Using the adapter plate (no threads): 39.8 to 42.8mm Threaded directly into your sub: 40.0 to 43.0mm Adding one thumb nut: 44.0 to 51.0mm
Down-firing subwoofers are generally very tolerant within these ranges.
No. The AUVA SW can be threaded directly into your subwoofer if it has compatible mounting points, replacing the existing feet with no modifications. If your sub has no threads, place the isolators underneath using our adapter plates, which add a silicone contact layer for stable support. Both options allow height adjustment.
Please note that removing your subwoofer’s feet, or fitting adapter plates, may affect the subwoofer manufacturer’s warranty.
You’ll usually find the thread size in your subwoofer’s user manual. If you can’t, email info@stackaudio.co.uk with your subwoofer model and we’ll find it for you.
The AUVA SW is available with these thread adaptors: ¼"-20, ⅜"-16, ½"-13, M6-1.0, M8-1.25, M10-1.25, M10-1.5, M12-1.25 and M12-1.75.
Choose the insert by the total weight of your subwoofer. Each set of four is tuned for a specific range:
SW CSA 1: 1–16kg (2.2–35.2lbs) SW CSA 2: 16–24kg (35.2–52.9lbs) SW CSA 3: 24–32kg (52.9–70.5lbs) SW CSA 4: 32–40kg (70.5–88.2lbs) SW CSA 5: 40–48kg (88.2–105.8lbs) SW CSA 6: 48–56kg (105.8–123.5lbs)
If you’re not sure, contact us with your subwoofer model and weight and we’ll recommend the best fit.
No. Isolating a subwoofer doesn’t remove the physical feel of bass; it removes the unwanted floor shake that exaggerates it. That shake comes from the sub vibrating the structure of your room, not from the low-frequency energy itself.
With the sub properly decoupled, you still get the same pressure and weight from the bass. What changes is that it becomes tighter, faster and more controlled, with impact that feels deliberate rather than boomy.
It won’t change your sub’s voicing. It tightens and clarifies the low end by removing boom, resonance and unwanted floor interaction, so you hear more of what your subwoofer is actually producing.
The AUVA SW works on all types of flooring. Suspended timber floors flex and store energy, with resonances that can reach into the sub-bass region. Concrete floors transmit structure-borne vibration and reflect low-frequency energy back into the cabinet. Either way, decoupling the subwoofer helps.
4 x AUVA SW isolators, 1 x adapter tool, 12 x spikes (3 per foot), 4 x fixing adapters and 4 x felt discs. The alternative set includes adapter plates for subwoofers without threads.
You have 60 days to audition the isolators from the day they arrive. If they’re not for you, we’ll arrange collection and give you a full refund, subject to the parts being complete and undamaged.

AUVA SW Subwoofer Isolators
description
Subwoofers transfer powerful low-frequency energy into the floor, exciting the room and masking detail. The AUVA SW is a hybrid isolator engineered specifically for subwoofer loads, using three tuned technologies to control vibration at the source. It tightens bass, reduces boom and helps the sub integrate more naturally with the rest of the system.
